Our Story

From hidden gifts to heirloom leather goods

Priestleys began with a quiet ritual: handwritten letters and small gifts, tucked away for me to find while James was on long submarine patrols. Each piece was chosen with care, wrapped with meaning, and left to be discovered. That spirit of thoughtful giving—personal, poetic, and enduring—still guides everything we make.

Founded in Lincolnshire in 2021, Priestleys is a family-led brand crafting leather goods that hold memory and meaning. Inspired by our daughters Eleanor and Evelyn, we design with longevity in mind—pieces that feel lived-in from the start and only get better with time.

Craftsmanship

Every Priestleys piece is made by hand in our Lincolnshire workshop using traditional techniques and vegetable-tanned leathers from gold and silver-rated European tanneries. We cut, stitch, and finish each item with precision and care—choosing materials that wear beautifully and carry the marks of life.

We believe in making fewer, better things. Our design process is fully circular, meaning pieces can be repaired or made into new products. Our leathers are responsibly sourced from the Leather Working Group and audited tanneries. Our patterns are designed for minimal waste, and our packaging is plastic-free. We prioritise circularity, repairability, and materials that age with grace.
