When James and I founded Priestleys in 2021, we did so with a belief that that every piece we create tells a story. Our latest venture licensed by the Ministry of Defence, the Military Submariners Collection, is no exception. The Inspiration

The inspiration for this collection comes from James’ time as a submariner. During long patrols, James would leave handwritten letters me, each week he was away. These letters, filled with love and little clues to find a hidden gift, became the essence of our brand. The Military Submariners Collection, licenced by The Ministry of Defence is a continuation of this legacy, honouring the dedication and sacrifice of our armed forces

Craftsmanship and Design

Each piece in the Military Submariners Collection is meticulously handcrafted in our Lincolnshire workshop. Our commitment to traditional artisanal leather techniques ensures that every item is not only beautiful but also durable.

We use responsibly sourced leathers from gold and silver-rated tanneries in Europe. These full-grain leathers are renowned for their quality, eco-friendly production methods, and exceptional durability. Our circular design principles guarantee that longevity, repairability, and uncompromised luxury are seamlessly woven into our designs.

The Making Process

Creating the Military Submariners Collection involves several intricate steps. It starts with selecting the finest leathers, followed by cutting and shaping each piece by hand. We then meticulously hand stitch the pieces together, ensuring every stitch is perfect. The final step is emboss those all important Dolphins, such an accolade for anyone serving, and we are proud to have been granted a license to be able to add such a touch of a symbol of courage and uniqueness to each item.
