Introducing the Wellness Journal Collection — A Space to Grow, Not a System to Follow

For years, my own reflective practice has been shaped by simple notebooks — spaces to hold thoughts, ideas, and the quiet moments that often get lost in the noise of everyday life. What I always resisted were the journals that felt prescriptive: frameworks that read like life admin, pages that felt like tasks, layouts that left no room for the natural ebb and flow of real reflection.

When we began designing the Wellness Journal Collection, I knew I wanted to create something different. A space, not a system. A companion, not a checklist. Something that felt grounding, luxurious, and deeply personal — a gift to yourself as much as a tool for your wellbeing.

Each journal is crafted in soft, vegetable‑tanned leather that ages and patinas with use, capturing the details of your practice as it evolves. Over time, the leather becomes a record in itself — a tactile reflection of your growth, your pauses, your returns.

To make the experience feel even more considered, every journal includes small touchpoints: a hand‑cut leather bookmark and a matching tag, both made from offcuts in our studio. These little pieces of leather carry the same story as the journal itself — nothing wasted, everything intentional.

We also created short, refined prompt cards — gentle invitations rather than instructions. Each card offers a simple starting point for reflection, designed to guide you back into your practice without overwhelming you. They’re intentionally minimal, leaving space for your own thoughts to unfold rather than dictating what they should be.

The Symbols That Guide Each Journal

Alongside the colours, each journal carries a small charm — a quiet symbol chosen with intention, designed to support the theme of your practice.

Growth — The Four‑Leaf Clover

Our daughter found a four‑leaf clover on a walk one afternoon, and it has been pressed safely in a book ever since. It became the perfect symbol for Growth: hopeful, grounded in nature, and a reminder that small moments of luck and progress often appear when you’re paying attention.

Calm — The Feather

The feather is the hallmark of this collection. In mindful practice, there is a powerful visualisation where a feather gently touches a balloon — a reminder of softness, breath, and the ability to soothe rather than force. It felt like the perfect companion for Calm: light, grounding, and quietly reassuring.

Reflect — The Crescent Moon

Reflection often happens in the quieter hours, when the world softens and thoughts settle. The deep navy leather is inspired by the night sky, and the crescent moon symbolises cycles, clarity, and the gentle illumination that comes from looking inward.

All charms are proudly made here in the UK, crafted with the same care and attention as the journals themselves.

The Colours That Tell a Story

When selecting colours with our tannery, we wanted each shade to hold meaning:

  • Growth — Dark Green Rooted in nature and inspired by that tiny four‑leaf clover, it represents expansion, hope, and forward movement.

  • Calm — Soft Grey Refined, soothing, and understated — a colour that invites stillness.

  • Reflect — Deep Navy A nod to the night sky and the quiet clarity of evening reflection.

Every leather we use is responsibly sourced from Leather Working Group tanneries and chosen for its ability to age beautifully — developing a patina that mirrors your own evolving practice.

Crafted With Intention

Each journal is hand‑cut and hand‑finished in our Lincolnshire workshop, not mass produced. Using simple Japanese techniques rooted in minimalism and respect for materials. There is no machinery shaping these edges, no shortcuts — just slow, careful craftsmanship that honours the leather and the person who will hold it.

This collection marks a new chapter for Priestleys — one that blends wellbeing, craftsmanship, and storytelling in a way that feels incredibly close to my heart. And this is only the beginning. We have more pieces, more rituals, and more thoughtful tools to come.

For now, I hope these journals become a space for you to return to — a place to grow, to pause, to reflect, and to reconnect with yourself.
